I stopped on the way back from Yosemite last November to take a photo of the sun setting. I used Aperture to increase the color saturation a bit and sharpen the contrast of the sunlight spilling over the hills.

Looks great. My buddies and I just got back from Mt. Olympus (hiking through the morning/night) to see the sun rise over the Salt Lake Valley.
